ANAMORPHIC SKEW SIMULATION

Anamorphic Perspective

The angle is everything: geometry that only makes sense from the side.

🧐 What do you see?β–Ό

A distorted shape on a floor. It looks stretched and "wrong." But if you imagine viewing this from the extreme bottom edgeof your screen, the distortions cancel out, and the shape looks like a solid cube standing upright.

🧠 Why this worksβ–Ό

Anamorphosis is a perspective technique that requires the viewer to use a special device or occupy a specific vantage point to reconstitute the image.

When you look at a surface from an angle, the image isforeshortened. By pre-distorting (stretching) the image in the opposite direction, the artist makes the objects look mathematically perfect from your slanted perspective.

πŸ§ͺ Try variationsβ–Ό

Adjust the Intensity to extreme levels. This stretches the cube further, simulating a viewing angle of nearly 0 degrees (eye-level with the ground).
