Forced Depth
The horizon in a box: using geometry to break the plane.
π§ What do you see?βΌ
A series of lines and boxes creates the sensation of adeep tunnel leading into the distance. Even though your screen is perfectly flat, the perspective cues "force" your brain to see volume.
π§ Why this worksβΌ
This uses Linear Perspective. In the real world, parallel lines (like train tracks) appear to converge at a single vanishing point on the horizon.
By mimicking this convergence and using Relative Size(making distant rectangles smaller), we trigger the brain's depth-reconstruction circuits. This is the same technique used in Disney parks and film sets to make small buildings look massive.
π§ͺ Try variationsβΌ
Change the Intensity to adjust the line weight. Heavier lines create a stronger "framing" effect that can intensify the feeling of being inside a physical structure.
