Static Motion (Ouchi)
Look at the center circle and gently shake your head or move the device. The center circle appears to float and slide independently of the background.

π Orthogonal MotionβΌ
The **Ouchi Illusion** relies on the brain's difficulty in integrating two orthogonal (perpendicular) motion signals. Your tiny eye movements (microsaccades) shift the image on your retina. Because the patterns are perpendicular, the motion signals generated by the background and the center roughly cancel out or conflict, causing the brain to perceive them as separate objects moving at different speeds.
