The top yellow bar looks much wider than the bottom one. In reality, they are pixel-identical.

The converging lines (railroad tracks) tell your brain that the top of the image is **far away**.
If two objects cast the same size image on your retina, but your brain believes one is farther away, it logic dictates the far object MUST be physically larger. This is also why the Moon looks huge on the horizon (where depth cues exist) compared to the zenith (empty sky).
